Adobe finally released an alpha version of a 64bit version of their Flash Player for Linux and Solaris a few days ago. You can check it out
here.
I know it's not free software, but those of us who have been using 64bit operating systems for years will be glad to have a supported player that actually works. The current version of flashplugin-nonfree in Ubuntu for example only works half of the time.
Keep in mind this is still alhpa software. From the site ...
"This is a prerelease version of the Adobe® Flash® Player 10 software for Solaris and 64-bit Linux platforms. It is being made available for developers and consumers to test their content to ensure new features function as expected, existing content plays back correctly, and there are no compatibility issues."
However, I have installed the software and so far everything is working just fine in Ubuntu 8.10.
